A Night Shimmering in Pink: Women in Medicine & Law Pink Party

What a sensational “women only” pink event we shared! The annual Women in Medicine and Law Pink Party was an explosion of positivity, a joyful celebration of survival, and a powerful demonstration of community. Every corner of the Mays Family Center at the Witte Museum buzzed with electric energy and glowed pink, making it a truly unforgettable evening.
The program was as moving as it was entertaining. It started on a heartfelt note with an invocation delivered by Stephanie Newton of Community Bible Church, setting the tone of gratitude. The air then filled with patriotic pride as the phenomenal Pink Party Singers performed a stirring rendition of “God Bless America.”

The house absolutely erupted for the sensational Dancing Divas, whose performance was nothing short of spectacular! Guiding us through the evening with grace, and wit was our stellar Mistress of Ceremonies, Jean Holt, MD. The emotional core of the night was the powerful family and survivor celebration, a beautiful tribute to the incredible strength and resilience shown by everyone who has faced cancer. Later, everyone got on their feet for the moment we wait for all year: the famous, unifying pink glove dance!

The fun didn’t stop there. Guests were treated to delicious culinary creations by the RK Group at various food stations, tried their luck at the competitive cork toss, and secured some fantastic finds at the bustling silent auction and pink market.  SEE PINK PARTY PICTURES.

The Impact: Where Your Pink Power Goes

The event’s glamour is matched only by its impact. Funds raised are immediately channeled back into the life-changing programs of ThriveWell Cancer Foundation. Specifically, your generosity fuels the amazing ThriveWell Diva Program, which brings vital, free support directly to patients. Just last year, this program delivered over 2,500 free in-person exercise, nutrition, and wellness classes in San Antonio and New Braunfels. That’s thousands of hours dedicated to helping patients get STRONGER! In addition, did you know that the ThriveWell Patient Assistance Program provided essential relief, giving out an astonishing $1,665,000 in financial, transportation, and lodging support to nearly 2,000 cancer patients in 2024, easing their financial and logistical burdens during treatment.

Our Heartfelt Gratitude

An event this magnificent takes a village—a village of very generous partners! We offer our deepest appreciation to our presenting sponsor, University Health, and to all the sponsors whose support was the backbone of the entire night.
Finally, a massive, sincere thank you to every single person who came out! Your energy, your enthusiasm, and your commitment to this cause are what make the Pink Party a success year after year. And to the fabulous Jean Holt, MD and the Pink Party Steering Committee —your dedication, countless hours, and passion made this the triumphant night it was. We will see you at next year’s party.
